What a brilliant start to the half term and our new topic 'Electricity'! We have already begun to explore the differences between oil-lamp and electrical lighthouses and discussed how to create balanced arguments in the form of a discussion text for both types. We have also been working on partitioning and regrouping decimal numbers to improve our understanding of place value and we have completed our end of term assessment for science by investigating how different liquids effect our teeth!

Next week we will be planning and writing our own discussion texts on lighthouses, continuing our work with decimals and commencing our work in geography and science on features of the world and electricity. We are also very excited about the upcoming 'Book at Bedtime' and World Book Day! What a busy week!

Happy holidays! See you on the 4th September
