What a fantastic first week we have had! We have spent our time getting to know each other and finding our way around our new school. We have been winning achievement points, had stars of the day and even a ray of sunshine for our wonderful learning behaviours we have demonstrated.
We have started our class book, George’s Marvellous Medicine, using this as inspiration for our descriptive writing in English. We used adjectives and similes to really show how evil Grandma Kranky could be! Next week, on Tuesday, it is Roald Dahl day so we already have a head start on the whole school theme!
In Maths, we have been learning how we can use resources around the classroom to help us learn; from whiteboards to bead strings to number lines, we are ready for any challenge!
Coming up, there will be an opportunity for parents to come in and find out about the curriculum, the learning environment and what you can be doing at home. If you have any questions before then, please feel free to ask. It has been lovely to start to get to know so many friendly faces.
Have a lovely weekend after a fun-filled week back at school.
