Learning and achieving together

Proud to be part of the Bushey Primary Education Federation - Executive Head Mrs C Holliman

Week 10 - 13th March

This week in M3 has been a fairy tale and we have travelled back in time!

In English, we have been working with fairy tales, just like last week, but this week we have been focusing in coordinate and subordinate clauses. We have also been reading the True Story of the Three Little Pigs, and now we  have a new vision of the Big Bad Wolf.

In Maths, we have worked with fractions. Now, we can spot the numerator and denominator in a fraction, we can add and subtract fractions with the same denominator, and we are also learning that a fraction can have more than a whole!

This week we had Computing, and we have been preparing our Power Point presentations about nutrition. However, on Tuesday we had a special visit: a Stone Age man!  He came to the school with furs, tools, pictures, musical instruments... He showed us how the life during Stone Age was, how humans were, how they found food, how they survived, etc. He also explained us interesting facts about the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Finally, we could play different games, such as mammoth hunting, spear launching, berries gathering and Stonehenge building!

It was super interesting!

Next week we will have Art, and we are getting closer to holidays!

Have a nice weekend!
