Once again we have had another jam-packed week in Year 3!
We have continued with our English work on fables, using War and Peas as a stimulus. Next week, we will be planning and writing our own fables.
In Maths, we have been working on Fractions. We have identified the difference between unit and non-unit fractions and found fractions of quantities. Next week, we will be ordering and comparing fractions.
The highlight of our week was Friday, when we had our Ancient Egyptian Day. All the costumes were fantastic and it really helped he children to get into the atmosphere of the day. Our 2 visitors. Steve and Sally, were from a company called Portals from the Past. We found out about daily life; the importance of the River Nile; gods and goddesses, mummification and looked at some artefacts. We also had a go at Egyptian dancing, measuring in cubits and finally took part in a procession. What a busy day!
