Another very busy week in the build up to Christmas...Oh no it wasn't...Oh YES it was!
On Monday we were delighted to have Miss Friths' dad in to visit, in his role of badminton coach. George was enthusiastic, supportive and a great teacher. He demonstrated shots giving reasons at each point. He explained that backhand is far more accurate than forehand shots. His clear explanations and demonstrations made everyone want to have a go and to try their best. A great afternoon .Thank you George.
A trip to Watford Palace Theatre had us all very excited and rightly so. The Pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, was excellent. The characters were played with just the right amount of fun and frolics, which delighted both children and adults. We all left with our tummies aching from laughter.
Christmas shopping was a secret topic this week as, thanks to the PSA, children from every class were invited to purchase items for their loved ones. It was a joy to see our children thinking carefully, sharing ideas and then purchasing a gift for someone important to them.
Maths this week has been a series of tests which the children have embraced admirably. All received an achievement point for setting out the classroom for test conditions in a matter of seconds. Super work M6 , all of you worked extremely hard.
Short stories have been written this week following our mystical, musical clip. The children created their own stories, which have been carefully read and then then edited and improved. A difficult task but carried out well by all.
Letters were also written to say a big thank you to Coach George and to the Watford Palace Theatre company for a super Pantomine. It was brilliant!
