In Maths this week, we have been learning to use a written method to multiply. We began using a grid to multiply using the distributive law, before moving on to using the expanded column method. After this we learnt to use the formal written method to multiply 2 and 3-digit numbers.
I English, we have been reading Gorilla City and writing about some of the inventions that feature in it. We wrote about Jakeman's Patented Rhino using subordinating conjunctions to add extra detail. Then we designed our own Homework Machine and gave instructions on how to draw it, using prepositional phrases.
