In D&T, we started a new unit on pneumatics. We enjoyed investigating simple pneumatic systems using plastic tubing, plastic syringes and balloons. All of this work is in preparation for us creating our own moving models linked to our work on the rainforests. At the end of the week, we used our P.E. session to tackle a variety of team-building activities. The photos show us attempting 'Don't Fall in the Water!', which involves us having to follow a set of instructions and arrange ourselves along a bench. The trickiest part of the activity was that we had to be silent so we had to think of other strategies to communicate during the activity.
As mentioned to lots of you at Parents' Evening, we have now assigned activities for the children to complete on Mathletics. The children will need to complete the activities in order to access the 'Play' section again. If you, or your child, has any queries about the activities, please don't hesitate to ask.
Next week is Science Week. We are looking forward to a fun-filled, interesting and educational week linked to a whole variety of science topics. On Friday, we are opening the doors to you so that you can come and take part in some of our favourite investigation from the week! Hope to see you all there!
