Only four days this week, so much to do...
English and Maths focus this week was in preparation for SAT's. Working on various areas of the curriculum the children discussed and honed their skills, showing the rich learning that has taken place.
WELL DONE ALL OF YOU - BE PROUD OF YOURSELVES.
As part of our children's well-being programme we have continued with relaxation techniques and have had regular sessions talking about SAT's and how to combat any worries. On Tuesday we followed this by having a whole year group Origami session - producing some excellent and innovative bookmarks. (see the photos!)
Wednesday saw the culmination of M6, hard work as a band. They ALL played instruments and sang, as only children can do, with great energy, verve and spirit...creating an exciting and interesting and very LOUD sound!
Thursdays PE session - The children worked in small groups to plan a game or activity for infant children. The groups debated their ideas and collected the relevant PE equipment to take on to the field where they tested out and made improvements to plans. We very much look forward to some of the infant children getting the chance to try them out and evaluate them.
Friday saw the year group taking on a BBC science special all about trees. They spent the morning measuring, checking and recording the information enthusiastically and wholeheartedly. Do ask them all about it.
Have a great weekend everyone - rest up and be ready for Monday
