Week 3

I have put the 100 Recommended Reads, as a link, on the front page to B5's Class Page - enjoy!

This week seems to have sped by and I think that is because we have crammed in so much learning!  The children have loved reading Zeraffa Giraffa, a beautiful book, which has enabled us to explore the features of an outstanding newspaper report. The purpose of this task, was to enable us to become reporters ourselves. The children are planning their articles about a tragic event from our text 'Journey to Jo'burg' - I know Mr Read and I cannot wait to read them! We are publishing next week.  Maths has been all about multiplication and we have discussed, in detail, the importance of our times tables knowledge - please get them all practicing this weekend!  Hit the Button is a great online game to use and I have told them all about Timestables Rockstars, an app which my family is using and loving - practice like this really does much all the difference to their success in class.  We started learning our 7's today and we will complete our game cards next week.

Strange Savanna creatures have been evolving in our Geography books - I am somewhat nervous about marking their books, as there were some scary creatures roaming the pages.  We had great fun starting to explore Forces today.  We did some exciting initial paper experiments today and I was impressed with their scientific testing - it will be exciting to see their helicopters next week!!!

Have a great weekend!! (I promise to upload some photos soon!!!)
