This week in M3 we have kept learning about the rain forest. In English, we have finished reading the Great Kapok Tree book, and we have been discussing how it is going to continue, working on ways to show our opinions and also writing a dialogue between the characters in the book.
In Maths we learned about lines during last week and this week we have been learning about turns: quarter turns, half turns, whole turns, clockwise and anticlockwise. We have applied our knowledge in programming and we also went to the playground to spin around like a clock!
In Geography, we keep learning about the rain forest. This week we have been finding information about the animals that live in the rain forest, such as their name and their diet. We have categorised them according to the layer of the rain forest where they live and we have also drawn a picture.
In DT with Ms. Norman, we have been doing picture frames! We designed the prototype, and this week we have started making them. Moreover, Ms Norman and Miss Prieto have checked that the wood we are using does not come from illegal logging, so we don't contribute to deforestation.
In PE, we are learning to play tri-golf, and we have been learning to use putters and chippers.
The key word for this week is "owl butterfly", so if you read this post and tell Miss Prieto the password on Monday, you will receive one Achievement Point.
Have a nice weekend!
