This week saw our very first No Pens Wednesday take place in Year 3. Instead of using writing as a tool to communicate, we focused on our speaking and listening skills. We really had to work well as a team to make sure everyone was getting their voice heard and there were many ‘Rays of Sunshine’ awarded for fantastic team work.
In English, we continued our story telling unit by taking sections of a story, adding actions and using our voices to engage our audience. We will be building on this next week, when we begin to write play scripts for a performance.
In Maths, we have been using our number bonds to ten to help us add larger numbers. With beadstrings and number lines, we have been able to show our understanding of addition in a variety of ways. Next week, we will be applying our learning to a range of different contexts and scenarios.
Our topic work saw us begin to investigate our local area. Before concentrating on Bushey, as we will next week, we started by thinking about the continents and countries which make up the world. Why not have a go at playing https://www.geoguessr.com/? Can you work out where in the world these places are from the picture clues?
Well done to, Ollie, our newly elected School Council representative for M3, we know you are going to do a great job at passing on all of our ideas!
