Blinked and you could have missed this half term. I don’t think time has ever passed so quickly, however, lots of good learning took place and children achieved well.
Maths saw us looking at and dissecting the maths test papers from last week. An invaluable experience as the children picked up on errors, practised methods and shared their knowledge and skills.
In English, we came to the final part of the ‘Varmint’ story; a twist at the end caused much discussion and debate. The children then completed a book review. This has made interesting reading as the children shared their opinions of the storyline, style, content and language used and chosen by the author. Most children agreed that it was a great book, and they would recommend it as one to share and enjoy.
Finally, the week came to completion with our class celebration. Some children chose to watch a film, snuggled in blankets, others bought in Lego and games. A pleasurable end to a very busy week!
Have a great half term children and build up your stamina for the next one!
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Year Six Assessment Meeting – as I said, we are a team, and that is of invaluable support to your child.
