Oh no we didn't, oh yes we did!
On Tuesday, the whole school went to see the Panto, Aladdin, at Watford Palace Theatre. Great anticipation was felt by everyone as we waited our turn to get on the coach...then we were off and very soon arrived. We quickly took our seats as the Panto began. Much laughter, booing (as instructed), calling out - as classic refrains were repeatedly expected and giggling behind our hands ensued at the antics of the Panto characters. My personal favourite was Widow Twankey, not only for her/his humour, but also for her magnificent dresses! We left with our sides aching from laughter and our bellies rumbling with hunger.
In the afternoon our children made good use of the BFF's Secrets Room. The children confidently went to buy a myriad of gifts for family members and then waited patiently to have them beautifully wrapped. It was lovely to see them carefully packing away their secret presents, knowing that they were indeed ready for Christmas. It is only made possible by the organistion and dedication of our school parents, so thank you all so much. It really is appreciated.
Wednesday, saw everyone in their Christmas jumpers, looking forward to Christmas dinner. The smell of a traditional roast dinner, invaded the school our had our mouths dripping with anticipation. A wonderful lunch was had by all and it has to be said, eaten in minutes! A huge thank you to all our catering staff who worked so hard to put on such a wonderful spread for our children and staff. Mrs Rook was our staff turkey cook, and the turkey was scrumptious - thank you.
Our last two days next week...look forward to seeing you all at the Christmas Carol Service on Monday.
