Week 8 Spellings

Date: 3rd March 2017

Apostrophes for belonging (plural regular).

If we want to show that something belongs to something else, we can use an apostrophe.

  1. The girls’ toilets are along the corridor.

  2. The boys’ football boots were muddy.

  3. The lions’ roars were really loud.

As you can see, the above examples are all more than one person or thing.
