Home Learning

In order to be a 'Super Reader', your child needs to read to an adult at home, for at least 15-20 minutes, on at least 7 different occasions across the week. After reading, it is important that the adult signs the Reading Record. Please ensure that your child has their Reading Record in school every day.

Our expectation is that every child works on their number facts knowledge every day. This must include learning and recalling times tables (and their corresponding division facts). Over the last year, we have found 'Times Tables Rockstars' to be an engaging, online tool, so please allow your child time to access this resource whenever possible. Every 2 weeks, your child will be tested on their times tables knowledge.

Our expectation is that every child practises their spellings every day. Every Friday, your child will be tested on their weekly spellings and will be given new words to learn from the Year 5/6 list and/or words that follow certain spelling rules/patterns.
