Happy New Year, one and all!
What a wonderful start to the Spring term M6 has had. Miss Gregory is immensely proud of M6 and how positive and determined they have returned to their learning. The class has jumped straight back into arithmetic, with some children finally mastering the difficult skill of long division, and tackled fractions with gusto! In English, the year group have started a new text, 'Letters from a Lighthouse', which links in perfectly with the History topic for this term, WW2. In R.E., the children have revisited their understanding of Christianity and Buddhism, in preparation to compare the two religions, later in the unit. It has truly been a fabulous start.
On Wednesday, the children were lucky enough to take part in an animal workshop, where they got to interact with various animals including a meerkat and a chameleon! This was a wonderful start to the science topic that will be introduced later in the term: Living Things and their Habitats. The pictures in the photo section hopefully capture the sheer enjoyment the children experienced!
Well done to Zac for the first Golden Book award of the year!
