The children had a great first week back. In Maths, they began to use written methods for multiplication. We first used the grid method to support the distributive law. After this, we moved onto the expanded column method and then the formal column. The children finished the week completing reasoning and problem solving tasks.
In English, the children finished writing their persuasive texts. They based their writing on the Leisure Centre and used persuasive techniques to encourage people to attend.
On Wednesday, the children had an amazing experience! We had Kayleigh visit us from The Animal Experience. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience of looking at a range of animals and finding out about them. The children then had the opportunity to hold some of the animals, including a meerkat named KitKat!
