This week in Maths we have been learning how to divide numbers up to 4 digits by a one-digit number using the formal written method of short division and interpret remainders appropriately for the context. We did this by dividing with and with out a remainder, then we moved onto showing the remainder as a fraction in our answers.
In English children have concluded their range of poetry and finish the week off by writing a poem about themselves or someone who is close to them. They had the challenge of making the poem rhyme and the poem had to be something that was true and not false. Children then had the opportunity to perform their poems in front of the class, developing their presentation skills, speaking and listening.
Finally we would like to thank all parents and guardians for supporting the school and bringing in a present that will be wrapped up as secret presents for the children in the final week of term. Everyone came dressed in their own clothing which made the day bright and colourful. Thank you
