Week 13 - W/E 7th December

This week, in English, we finalised our Stone Age adventure stories by carrying out our final editing activities. we looked at what we had written and decided which sentences needed improving. We then wrote them out on whiteboards and made changes that we thought would improve it. After that, we copied the improved sentences into our English books using our 'purple polishing pens'

In our lesson on Friday, we started a unit of work on poetry. We watched video clips of 2 poems: 'Words Are Ours' by Michael Rosen and 'The Magic Box' by Kit Wright. We then had to find the features and compare the two poems, saying which one we liked best. Next week, we will be writing our own poems.

In Maths this week, we have been investigating angles. We found out about right angles and used an angle measurerer to find angles that are greater or less than a right angle within 2-D shapes. Next week we will be finding out about parallel and perpendicular lines.
