Heart surgeons! Our visit to Bushey Academy's Mega Lab, was certainly a moment of awe and wonder for our children (even those who felt slightly queezy) as they dissected their sheep hearts. The experiment allowed the children to not only explore in further detail the structure of the heart but to understand the importance of this amazing machine. The children were able to successfully identify and label the components of the heart, which we have learnt about in class, as well as examine new parts such as heart strings - it was truly an inspiring morning for us all.
The Elf Run allowed us to ensure that our hearts were all working properly, as the children sprinted enthusiastically around the course to raise money for Peace Hospice - a truly worthy cause. The spirit of Christmas was certainly in the air, but I am sure Father Christmas must now be behind on his toy order!
Christmas tunes have filled the air, as we practice 'Gaudete' everyday ready for our church services. We can't wait to make the children's last primary Christmas a memorable one.
