We have been continuing our work on the Romans this week and we even got a glimpse of what it might be like to live in Roman society by acting it out and imagining what it would be like to be emperor, consul, senator, patrician, plebeian or a slave at that time. We intend to continue our immersion in this fascinating period of history next week. In English, we will be finding out how to build suspense and use shades of meaning to create a gripping description of the Mount Vesuvius eruption about to happen. In Maths, we will be working on shape finding out all about all the different types of quadrilaterals that exist. In History, we will be carrying out some research into different aspects of daily life in Ancient Rome. Although as our saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day, we are eager and determined to make as much progress in our learning as possible so watch this space!
Term starts for children on September 4th - happy holidays!
