Fractions, figurative language and fabulous coding filled our week of learning and the outcomes were very exciting. The children created colourful, but most importantly, accurate Rainbow Fraction this week, which demonstrated their understanding of equivalent fractions. Please ask them to show you how equivalent fractions can be found on a times tables grid squares (another push for times tables I know!). The children have now identified and named the language feature I like to use a million times a day in my teaching, ask them to name it and see what other figurative language types they can name, identify in their reading books and the impact it has on the reader. The children are becoming expert coders and we had a lot of fun Snail racing to prove how good we were. Well done B5!
