This week, the class have focused on the 'Treaty of Versailles', and its impact on the end of WW1/beginning of WW2. The children were asked to split into the 'Big 3' countries: UK; USA and France, and to decide what terms they would like for the treaty and how that would impact Germany. It was a challenging task, but the children were engaged and really thought about the negotiations and compromises that each country would have to make.
In maths, we have looked at adding and subtraction fractions, where there is a different denominator. We discussed how to find a common denominator and how that makes the task much simpler. Next week we will move onto multiplying fractions and we are looking forward to our trip to 'Lincolnsfield - 1940's Experience'.
