Week 3

This week in English, we wrote flash forwards about Cameron's life. We thought about all of his hopes and dreams for the future and how life may change for him if the operation is a success. Next week, we will be editing our work, remembering to use parentheses, adverbials and expanded noun phrases to develop our sentences.

In Maths, we developed our understanding of how to use long and short division. Before solving the calculation, we listed the multiples of the divisor. When using the written method, it was important that we thought carefully about the layout of our work, and also that we avoided any errors when calculating with remainders. Next week, we will be developing and applying our understanding of multiples, factors, prime numbers, square numbers and cube numbers.

We are going to be making felt hearts for our class Christmas hoop. In preparation for this, we spent time practising how to sew a blanket stitch. Check out the photos next week to see how our hearts turn out!!
