Another busy week full of lots of learning in M3 this week. In Maths, we worked on counting in multiples of 3,4 and 8 and children were able to apply this to their times table knowledge as well as understanding it as repeated addition. At the end of the week, we moved onto division strategies, the children have worked fantastically using their prior knowledge and being able to apply that to their new learning. Next week, we will be continuing with division.
In English, we started creating our own non-chronological reports on a chosen dinosaur. We started our reports by researching using the internet to find out lots of information about our dinosaurs. The children were able to do some great research and found out lots of interesting information. Next week, we will be working on transforming our notes into detailed paragraphs of information.
In Science, we finished our work on forces and magnets and applied all of our learning as well as terminology to create some informative posters. Great work M3!
A massive congratulations to the children who achieved their pen licences this week. A lot of children have been working on their handwriting and overall presentation over the last couple of weeks and I look forward to handing out more pen licences over the upcoming weeks. Well done!
A quick reminder that the school stationery shop will be open from next week where children can purchase stationery for a very affordable price!
