Week 4: 23 September 19

In our learning this week we have had lots of fun and challenges. In Art students are learning about African art and understands that this kind of art describes the modern and historical paintings, sculptures, installations, and other visual culture from native or indigenous Africans and the African continent.

In Maths we have now moved onto multiplying and dividing numbers by 10,100 and 1000, children can multiply whole numbers as well as decimal numbers using a place value chart. In English, we have continued to read the book Journey to Jo' burg' by Beverley Naidoo and have now produced descriptive writing of the apartheid system of institutionalised racial segregation that existed in South Africa and South West Africa from 1948 until the early 1990s.

Moreover, B5 have continued to show they are ready for learning, they are responsible and are respectful.

Term starts for children on September 4th - happy holidays!
