Week 4 - W/E 27th September

This week we are now showing that we are really settled into life at Bushey Manor. We have had a fantastic and successful week of learning.

In Maths, we have been comparing and ordering 3 digit numbers. We have to understand the value of each digit in a number to be able to do this. At the end of the week, we began learning how to round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. Some of us found it a bit tricky but we persevered.

Next week we will begin looking at units of measure involving weight.

In English, we have been continuing our work using the book 'Monsterology' as a stimulus. We have been creating our own imaginative mythical creatures and writing detailed information about them. We are each presenting our information as an A3 fact sheet.

At the end of the week, we began looking at the features of instruction texts, which will continue next week.

Throughout the week, we have been working on our Geography topic of 'Where I Live' which has involved using atlases to locate different cities as well as rivers and seas around the UK.

Term starts for children on September 4th - happy holidays!
