Firstly, a big thank you to all the family and friends who were able to join us for our first class assembly this week, and to everyone that couldn't be there and sent their best wishes! Despite being the debut class assembly of the year, we are really proud of our courage and positivity in sharing our learning publicly. We have certainly made headway in our topics and are excited to see what the next few weeks bring.
Last Friday, we made our 'blood smoothies' and the unanimous vote was that they tasted rather disgusting! However, despite the taste, the activity really helped us to understand the components and functions of blood in the human body. In maths, we have explored efficient mental strategies and how to apply them to questions in different contexts. In English, we are creating character profiles around the main character, Cameron, and beginning to consider how we can empathise with his situation. We have also developed our knowledge around the Vikings.
Well done to Jack for getting the Golden Book award this week!
