Thank you to those of you who made it to our 'Open Classroom' session on Thursday - it was lovely to see so many familiar faces. The children really enjoyed being able to share their learning with you and it was great to see you all willingly go on a 'scavenger hunt' to help the children solve arithmetic problems. We are learning to be efficient, fluid and flexible with our methods, to give us greater confidence in number - I am very proud of all the effort the children are putting into this. Also, well done to all the adults who allowed the children to scrutinise their arithmetic methods and strategies during the session; you were certainly good sports! 'Writing like authors' has been top of the agenda this week - I am so impressed with the quality of work all the children have produced. Please ask them how they ensured their writing captured the intensity of the atmosphere, in their re-write of Chapter 1 - 'Dying'.
