This week, the children have continued to write persuasively using the book The Pirate Cruncher. They had to persuade the pirates either to, or not to go on a treasure hunt. They have learnt to use different persuasive devices, such as rhetorical questions and discussing benefits, and have written some lovely paragraphs.
In Maths, children have continued their unit on perimeter and have learnt 3 ways in which to calculate the perimeter of rectangles. They have then answered a range of worded problems including some missing value problems.
In science, the children have come to the end of the Animals and Humans unit. Following on from the digestion experiment, the children created posters to display what they have learnt.
