What a wonderful start to the second half of the autumn term! M6 class have come back once again with gusto, and we have already immersed ourselves in some wonderful learning. Miss Gregory was also brimming with pride when she met with our parents over the two parents' evenings, and she was excited to share all of the progress that we have made.
In maths, we have dived straight into division, starting with short division, moving quickly onto long division and considering how to interpret remainders in response to worded problems. In English, we have continued looking at the extremely controversial topic of 'xenotransplantation' (using animal organs for human organ transplants), and we are preparing for a whole class debate to precede a written balanced argument. In the foundation subjects we have prepared a newspaper report on the Vikings and we took advantage of 'Outdoor Learning Day' by sketching natural objects. Once we have completed our science topic on animals, including humans, we are excited to start learning about volcanoes!
Finally, M6 have gone home very happy today, following a pizza treat from Mrs Cooper, for being 100% super readers! Now to keep up the title...
Well done to Isabella for the golden book award this week.
