What a great start to October here in M5. We have really enjoyed seeing so many parents getting involved with learning, so a massive thank you! We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did and you are welcome any time!
Our journey through South Africa continued this week, building on our learning about the history of the country as well as finding out about the location. We learnt about hemispheres, time zones, neighbouring countries as well as important cities within South Africa. This background knowledge will really help us get the most from our story, Journey to Jo’burg, which we are almost about to start reading.
Our week has been full of visitors and on Tuesday, we had a fantastic workshop with Miss Lake, helping to bring out our creative sides. After discussion about inequality, Nelson Mandela and our rights as individuals, we wrote poems sharing our thoughts and feelings. See our Week In Pictures Section for more about this!
Next week our journey continues through South Africa, keep sharing your learning at home, the discussions have been so rich!
